Maria V. Betancourt passed away at her Hollister home at the age 90.
She was born in Topeka, KS and lived in Hollister for over 50 years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, liked being with her family and enjoyed laughing and singing.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Joe Luis Betancourt (Jesse) of Gilroy, Ramon Betancourt (Yolanda) of Gilroy, Ricardo Betancourt of Hollister Martha Betancourt of Hollister, Mary Betancourt of Hollister, Irene Jaurigue (Reiny) of Hollister and Rachel Luevanos (Abe) of San Lorenzo and her 11 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Betancourt and two children, Gabriel Betancourt Jr and Joanna Betancourt.
Friends can pay their respects on Thursday, March 10, 2011, from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Mass will be on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery.
