Marilyn M. Guthrie passed away in Hollister at the age of 76. She was born in Glendale, CA and lived in Hollister for 25 years moving here from Reedley, CA.

She married her husband, Jerry, in 1956 in Lynwood, CA. She attended both UC Santa Barbara and UCLA and held a bachelor’s degree. She taught school for over 35 years, was involved with The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, liked to play Bridge, gardening and belonged to a Bible Study Group.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Guthrie of Hollister, her two sons, Michael Guthrie of Fresno and Keith Guthrie of Visalia, her two brothers, Ken Ross of Whittier and Claude Ross of Washington and her 4 grandchildren, Taylor, Erik, Madelyn and Lauren Guthrie.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at The First Presbyterian Church on Cienega Rd. in Hollister.

Interment services will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at 12:30 P.M. at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
