Larry Phillip Cembellin

Resident of Monte Sereno, passed away peacefully at home. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Joanna, and four children, Philip (Jill), Elisa Morgan (Dan), Elena Johnson (Mark), and Larry Paul. He was devoted to eight grandchildren and one great- grandchild.

Born and raised in Hollister to parents who emigrated from Spain, he was a child of the Great Depression. Larry played football as a halfback for the Hollister Haybalers, #66. He joined the Navy at age 17 as a Sea Bee during World War II and served in the Philippines. He was a General Building Contractor in Santa Clara Valley.

Larry worked hard and loved the land. He enjoyed curing olives, growing grapes, grafting trees, and raising doves. Private services have been held. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to Humane Society of Santa Clara Valley and Salvation Army are appreciated.
