Kimberly “Kim” Mary Flores, a native of Pomona, CA and life time resident of San Benito County passed away after a long illness at St. Louise Regional Hospital surrounded by family and a loving staff.
Kim was a graduate of Hollister High School and earned her A.A. degree at Gavilan College. Kim worked for Social Services of San Benito County for 25 years “where she changed people’s lives in a positive way, always going to bat for the underdog”.
Kim is survived by her father, Francis E. Flores, her brother Khris Flores of Ogunquit, Maine; her best friend Stella Herrera and her beloved goddaughter Deslynn Alvarez. She was preceded in death by her mother Eugenia “Genie” Flores. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, the Flores family and a whole bunch of Fortinos.
Friends are invited to a celebration of her life and a Mass of The Resurrection on Tuesday, May 10th, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Church, 5th & College Streets, Hollister.
Private inurnment will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the American Diabetes Assn., or to the Genie Flores Scholarship Fund c/o the funeral home chapel.
