Another day, another pair of wins for the Hollister National 10- and 11-year-old All-Stars and 9- and 10-year-old “B” All-Stars.
The two teams, which are currently battling through the elimination bracket of their respective California District 9 All-Star Tournaments, each won Thursday evening to advance to the next round.
The 10-11s received stellar efforts by Nick Christian, who tossed a no-hitter, and Gabriel Reyes, who connected on a 2-run homer, to easily defeat Salinas Continental by an 11-1 margin on Thursday in Soledad.

Christian’s no-no included 13 strikeouts and zero walks during the shortened, five-inning game, which advances Hollister National to the next round against a team to be announced.
“Real impressive,” Hollister manager Matt Christian said of the 10-run victory.
The pitcher Christian received all the run support he would need in the first inning, too. Reyes’ 2-run homer to left field put Hollister out in front and in the lead for good.
“We hit the ball pretty well as a team,” Christian added.
Joshua Jennings was 4 of 4 on Thursday with 2 RBI, while Zachary Livingston, who caught Christian’s no-hitter and didn’t allow a pass ball, connected on a pair of hits.
Hollister National now advances to the following round, where it will play either Hartnell or North County, in a game slated for Sunday at Salinas Atlantic.
First pitch is 10 a.m.
Those two teams, Hartnell and North County, will meet up on Saturday at Salinas Atlantic at 1 p.m., with the victor advancing to the semifinals and the loser dropping to the elimination bracket against Hollister National.
Meanwhile, the 9-10s won their second straight game in the elimination bracket when they edged North County 6-5 on Thursday evening in Salinas, and are off until Sunday when they will square off against the loser between Hollister American “A” and Hartnell.
Those two teams will play Saturday at Ferrasci. First pitch is 10 a.m. The loser of that game will drop to the elimination bracket, where they will face off against Hollister National “B” on Sunday at Ferrasci at 10 a.m.
