Passed away in Pittsburg, CA Wed. Nov 9,2011. Born in Shippensburg,PA to Gertrude and Harry Byers. Came to Hollister in 1985, lived with his sister Betty Welch for ten years before moving to Pittsburg.
He served in the navy in world war II in the Pacific,was a life member of the VFW and American Legion. Worked for Granger printing for ten years. He is survived by his son David to his first wife Brenda. His now wife, Eun Hee Byers, step-children Ben and Mia. Three brothers, John “Pete” Byers(Ethel), Gerald Byers (Yolanda), Stephen Byers (Donna)and sister Betty Welch.Stanley was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Byers, Harry Byers Jr, Gene Byers, and brother-in-law Howard Welch, sister Patricia Jensesn.
Services will be at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel Nov. 17,2011, 11:30 A.M.
