JOSE RAFAEL BRAVO, 20, of HOLLISTER, passed away, on November 10, 2011, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.
Jose was born in Hollister, on January 5, 1991. He was a 2010 graduate of San Benito High School and was set to leave for Georgia on February 27th, 2012, for basic training in the United States Army, where he would be working as a satellite communication systems operator/maintainer.
Jose’s future goal was to join the Army Ranger Special Forces.
Jose was a very loving person, who always greeted you with a beautiful smile. He was currently working for Hollister Youth Alliance. He enjoyed meeting new people and spending his free time with family, hanging out and partying with friends, skateboarding, working on cars, playing football and video games.
He was survived by his mother Matilde Bravo-Sierra, father Jose Bravo, sister’s Roxana and Melanie and brother Darel, grandmother Socorro Dorado, grandparents Gilberto and Carmen Bravo, Aunt Araceli Maldonado all of Hollister, and many aunt’s, uncle’s and cousin’s.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather Rafael Sierra.
Funeral arrangements are with Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home.
Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 16th from 1:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. with the rosary offered at 7:00 P.M. Family and friends will leave the mortuary Thursday morning at 9:15 A.M. for a Mass at Sacred Heart Church , beginning at 10:00 A.M. Immediately following mass there will be a procession to Calvary Cemetery for burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations to help pay for funeral costs, may be made in his honor to Bank of America, Account #00129-74264, in care of his aunt, Araceli Maldonado, for JOSE BRAVO.
JOSÉ RAFAEL BRAVO, 20, de HOLLISTER, falleció el 10 de noviembre del 2011 a causa de heridas que sostuvo en un accidente de auto.
JOSÉ nació en Hollister, el 5 de enero del 1991. Se graduó de la San Benito High School en el 2010 y estaba preparandose para irse a Georgia el 27 de febrero del 2012 para entrenamiento básico en el Army de los Estados Unidos donde trabajaría como operador/mantenimiento de sistemas de comunicación por satelite. La meta de Jose para el futuro era formar parte de los Army Ranger Special Forces.
Jose fue un joven muy amoroso, quien siempre saludaba con una hermosa sonrisa. El trabajaba para el Hollister Youth Alliance. Disfrutaba mucho conocer nuevas personas y pasar su tiempo libre con su familia, festejando con sus amigos, patinando, trabajando arreglando carros, jugando futbol y juegos de video.
Le sobrevive su mamá Matilde Bravo-Sierra, su padre Jose Bravo, sus hermanas Roxana y Melanie y su hermano Darel; su abuela Socorro Dorado y sus abuelos Gilberto y Carmen Bravo, su tía Araceli Maldonado, todos de Hollister; además de muchos tíos, tías y primos. Le precede en muerte su abuelo Rafael Sierra.
El funeral será en Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Visitas serán el día Wednesday, November 16th las horas de 1:30 P.M. al las 8:30 P.M. con la Rosario a 700 P.M. Misa de cuerpo presente se efectuará el Sacred Heart Church Thursday a las 10:00 A.M. El entierro será despues de la misa en el cementerio Calvary Cemetery.
