Amelia A. Jaime entered peacefully into eternal rest on Feb. 15th, 2010 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in La Piedad, Michoacán, Mexico to parents Higinio Aguirre Salazar & Maria E. Garcia. Raised in Mexico City from childhood to adulthood. An avid student in school, Amelia excelled academically in math, science, and history, and as a result graduated with honors. Amelia immigrated to California in July 1958. In 1961, she married Henry V. Jaime; they happily resided and raised their family in Hollister, Ca.

Amelia is survived by her loving children Albert Jaime, Laura (Hamid) Rahmanian, and Norman Jaime. Adored infant granddaughter ‘Hanna Amelinda.’ Her sisters Lucrecia Aguirre, Elvia (Pedro) Legorreta, and sister-in-law, Mae (Ralph) Landeros. Aunts Celia Rojas, and Angelina Persich; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Sandra Jaime; husband Henry V. Jaime; parents Higinio & Maria; and brother Higinio Aguirre.

Amelia was the matriarch of her family, setting a wonderful example as a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her laughter was infectious and her goodness was ingenious. She was happiest gardening, watching telenovelas, sharing scenic travels and quality time with her children, listening to classical/mariachi/bolero music, feeding the birds in her water garden, and spending time with her grandbaby ‘Hanna’. Because of her strong catholic faith, our lovely mama was a courageous woman up until the very end of her life. It’s heartbreaking that she and our father ‘Henry’ (deceased 1987) both died from pancreatic cancer. We will always remember our mama’s beautiful smile, and the joy she brought to us all. “Mamita linda, que descanses en paz ~ nunca te olvidaremos.”
