According to the statement:
Hollister Police Arrested Jesse Elijah Guttirez (26) for various gun charges.
On the morning of February 7, 2015, about 2:15 AM, Officer Luis Toribio was on routine patrol when he saw a known gang member on felony probation drive into the Quik Stop parking lot at 1300 San Juan Road. Officer Toribio decided to make contact with Guttirez to see if he was complying with his terms of probation.
Upon contacting Guttirez, who was now out of his vehicle, Guttirez denied any association with the car, saying he had walked there. Guttirez was found to be the registered owner of the car he denied driving. Officer Toribio searched Guttirez’ vehicle in accordance with Guttirez’ probation conditions. He found a 9mm, handgun next to the center-console of Guttirez’ vehicle. Officer Toribio also located drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Guttirez was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, possessing a firearm while on felony probation, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violating the terms of his probation. He was booked into the San Benito County Jail.
