Sam Satoru Tsujimoto entered into rest peacefully on July 17, 2010, in Palo Alto, CA, after a sudden illness. Born in Rumsey, CA on February 27, 1925, Sam was one of five children born to Fugisanojyo and Shinobu Tsujimoto. Sam was married to the love of his life Louise for 59 years, before her death in 2005. They met in Chicago after WWII and married in 1946. In 1950, Sam and Louise moved to California, and settled in Palo Alto where they remained in the same home until their deaths. Sam worked for 32 years for Litton Industries, Menlo Park until his retirement. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. He was quite a character, fun loving and extremely kind and generous. Everyone who knew him has a “Sam Story” to tell. He will be greatly missed!
He leaves his two sons, Michael (wife Katherine) of Gilroy, CA. and Gary (wife Nancy) of Seattle, WA.
Sam leaves his brother Mack of Loomis, CA, and a younger sister Ann of Stockton, CA.
Grandchildren, Rachel Contreras (husband Larry) of Gilroy, Paula Aulman (husband Eugene) of Gilroy, and Heather Messersmith (husband Jason) of Los Angeles.
Great grandchildren Mikayla Gibson of Hollywood and Gilroy, Nick and Madison Contreras of Gilroy, Sarah, Jack and Kyle Aulman of Gilroy, and Payton and Tanner Messersmith of Los Angeles.
Sam leaves many nieces and nephews who dearly loved him. Sam proudly served in the US Army during WWII.
He will be buried with his wife at Alta Mesa Cemetery, Palo Alto, CA. A family celebration of Sam’s life will be held at the home of Michael and Katherine Tsujimoto, Gilroy at a later date.
