Michael Mendosa and Melissa Howe were married Sept. 10, 2010 at the Ranch Golf Club in San Jose.

Melissa is the daughter of Bill and Ester Howe. Michael is the son of Mike and Carmen Mendosa.

The couple resides in Gilroy.

Telfer/Bair

Matthew Telfer and Megan Bair were married June 11, 2010.

Megan, daughter of John F. and Barbara Bair, is a 2001 graduate of Garces Memorial High School in Bakersfield, a 2005 graduate from UC Davis with a bachelor’s degree in human development and a 2007 graduate from UC San Diego with a teaching credential and master’s degree in education. She is a second grade teacher at Paradise Valley Elementary School in Morgan Hill.

Matthew, son of John and Diane Telfer, is a 2000 graduate from Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill and a 2004 graduate from UC Davis with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He is a commercial and residential real estate agent with South County Realty.

The wedding ceremony was held at St. Catherine’s Church in Morgan Hill with a reception following at Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin. The couple resides in Morgan Hill and honeymooned in the islands of French Polynesia.

Bentley Joseph Furtado

Bentley Joseph Furtado was born Oct. 25, 2010 at El Camino, Los Gatos to Dusty and Lauren Furtado of Morgan Hill. He weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces.

HONORS

Rachel Nin

Rachel Nin, a Denison University student from Morgan Hill, is studying off-campus for the fall 2010 semester. Nin, a member of the class of 2012, is studying with the advanced studies in England program in the United Kingdom and majors in English (creative writing) and theatre at Denison.

Many of Denison’s undergraduate students choose to broaden their horizons through off-campus study each semester. In these programs, students continue to receive full credit toward a Denison degree while pursuing diverse research or academic opportunities.
