James W. Jones, born May 24, 1921 and long time resident of San Martin (Gilroy Area) passed away March 4, 2009. He was 87 years old. Mr. Jones was a decorated WWII veteran and an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and being a cowboy. He had his pilot’s license and loved flying his own plane. He was an agricultural inspector for both Santa Barbara and Santa Clara Counties. He leaves behind his beloved wife Natalie and daughter Kelly as well as his step-children Clay, Carla, and David; along with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, his sister Alice and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14th at San Martin Presbyterian Church (13200 Lincoln Ave.) at 3:00 P.M.
