Emilia Filice passed away Sunday morning at the age of 91, at the Mabie Southside Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born in Figline, Italy and came with her family to Niagara Falls, Ontario in 1927. Emelia later moved to California in 1937 where she met Pasquale Filice and they were married in 1938. She has resided in Hollister since then and later became a local caregiver for several years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Pasquale Filice. Emilia is survived by her son, Peter Filice and his wife, Mary Anne of Hollister, grandson, Charles Filice, wife, Catalina and granddaughter, Anne Marie Faria, husband Tony, all of Hollister. Great-grandmother of Pasquale Filice and Omar Flores both of Hollister. Emelia also is survived by a sister, Irene Paone of Niagara Falls and a sister-in-law, Marguerite Tortorelli of Hollister and Rose Crocco of Gilroy.

Family and friends are invited to gather at 9:45 A.M. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5th and College Streets, Hollister, for a Funeral Mass to begin at 10:00 A.M. Entombment will follow at the mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery.
