 John S. Filice “Johnnie”, 92 years old of Hollister, passed on May 21, 2015, with his wife, Alicia by his side.
 John was born in Piane Crati, in the region of Calabria, Italy on June 17, 1922 to the late Rosina and Bruno Filice.
 John traveled to America by ship when he was 15 years old. When John settled in Hollister, he resided with his second family, Frank and Agata Felice.
 John attended Hollister schools, worked locally and served in the United States Army during World War II.
 In 1949, he married Alicia Cosco, with whom he raised his family. They were happily married for 66 years.
 John worked for K&S Market for 19 years. After his retirement, he became an avid golfer and enjoyed his family immensely, particularly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 He is survived by his wife, Alicia and his children, Rosemarie (Jerry), James (Kathrine), Robert (Beth); grandchildren, Patrick (Pam), Kristopher (Heather), Karen (Chris), Mark (Claire), Joseph, Soquel and Natalie and seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
 John is preceded in death by a grandson, Jon Paul Foshee.
 John was a member of the Sacred Heart/St. Benedicts Parish, ICF, VFW, SIRS and Bolado Golf Club.
