Gloria Mullings

Gloria Mullings passed away January 29, 2008, at her home, surrounded by family. Gloria was born and raised in Gilroy and is survived by: son Fred (Pam) Thrasher, Marilyn ( Greg) Guerin, Teeny (Frank) Pacheco, step-children Julie (Pat) Tuttle, Cindy (Steve) VanHorn, and Sam Mullings, sister Barbara Drewitz, sister-in-law Gloria Rizzi and brother-in-law Jim Duley. Gloria had fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Pete and Mary Rizzi, her husbands, Dick Thrasher and Bill Mullings, and by siblings, Erminia Dresti, John Rizzi, Julian Rizzi, Vic Rizzi, Albert Rizzi, Pete Rizzi and Margaret Daley. Gloria retired from the City of Gilroy, where she worked as a Purchasing Agent, in 1989. She was named Employee of the Year in 1987. Gloria was an avid bridge player. She loved cooking, and her home was always open to family and friends. Trips to Reno and Chukchansi were a highlight of her retirement. Wherever she went, Gloria made a friend of everyone she met. Visitation will be held Friday, February 1, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008, 1:00 P.M. at the family home.
