Eugene Martin Klauer, age 70, passed away in Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento of a sudden illness. Eugene was born in Hollister on September 28, 1937 and attended local schools. He received a bachelor degree from Cal Poly in Aeronautical Engineering and a Masters Degree from Cal State Long Beach. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. His employment was with North American Rockwell and Martin Murietta. He enjoyed airplanes, racing events, gardening and reading.

He married Patricia Gibson, (1961-1982) and they had seven children, Wayne, (Terri), Michael, James (Tami), Karin, and Walter, of Grass Valley, Kelly of Auburn and William (deceased) and eleven grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Barbara Recalde of Hollister and Mary Bennett of Salinas, also good friend, Lucille Tines, of Auburn. He was preceded in death by son, William, mother, Pearl and father, Eugene.

Services are Monday, Feb. 25, at 1 P.M. at Rough and Ready Cemetery, Ca. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice.
