Born April 15, 1956, Wendy Arlene Braddock, was among seven children born to Ernest & Shirly Payne. Wendy was born and raised in Salinas, later residing in Hollister for 15 years, where she worked at Sunnyslope Elementary School, and in late 2006, moved to Redding with her family. After a valiant battle with lung and liver cancer, Wendy went home to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ the evening of February 15, 2008.

Wendy is survived by her husband of 29 years, Troy Braddock; son, Joshua Hughes and wife, Kari, of Hermiston, Oregon; son, Andrew Braddock and wife, Ashlin, of Santa Clara; son, Wesley Braddock; mother, Shirley Payne, of Jamestown; sister, Cheryll Fink, of Jamestown; sister, Kathy Staten, of Newman; sister, Debbie Payne, of Marina, sister, Vicki Windham of Leander, Tx; brother, David Duncan, of Modesto; brother, Roger Payne, of Newman; and three grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, and Joshua Jr. Hughes, all of Hermiston, Oregon.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 24th, 2008, at 6:00 P.M. at Rolling Hills Community Church, 330 E. Tres Pinos Road, Hollister.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy Hospice Center, 1544 Market Street, Redding, CA 96003.
