Passed away at home Monday, March 10, 2008. She was a loving wife of John Furtado of Gilroy and loving mother of Carlos Furtado of Idaho, Manuel, George and Rosa Furtado all of Gilroy. She was a grandmother of 17 and a great-grandmother of 18. She was a native of San Miguel, Azore Islands, Portugal.
Mrs. Furtado moved to Gilroy from the Azores June 3, 1966 and has been a resident ever since. She was a past member of various Portuguese Halls.
Vigil Thursday, March 13, 2008 – 7:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home, in Gilroy. Funeral Services will begin Friday, March 14, 2008 – 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Then to St. Mary’s Church for Mass at 9:30 A.M. Entombment will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, in Gilroy.
