Our beloved Mother, passed away May 10, 2008 in Los Gatos, CA at the age of 94. She was born in St. Charles, IL and was raised in Hollister, CA with her 6 brothers and 1 sister. She married Vernon R. Laveroni of San Juan Bautista, and after WWII they raised their children, Edward and Barbara in Mountain View. Sophie retired from Hewlett Packard after 25 years. She was a resident of Morgan Hill for many years before and after our father’s death.
Our Mom loved to bowl, knit, cook, crochet, and played a mean game of golf. And watch out if someone mentioned poker. She is survived by her two children Edward Laveroni of Los Gatos and Barbara Provost of Henderson, NV. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Darling Fischer Mortuary, 615 N. Santa Cruz Ave., Los Gatos, CA on May 17th at 2:00 P.M. She will rest beside her husband Vernon R. Laveroni in San Juan Bautista.
