Mildred Zappa passed away September 13, 2008 in Capitola. She was born in Pennsylvania to Italian immigrant parents on September 24, 1923. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Clyde Zappa and their son Lenny; survived by her daughter Claudia and husband Roger Martin of Boulder Creek, son David Zappa of Forestville, son Mark Zappa and wife Sandi of Gilroy, daughter Jeanine and husband Brian Sollom of McKinnleyville, and daughter Carol Zappa of Capitola. She is also survived by her grandchildren Frank Bauer, Lia Holden, Lenny, Molly, and Emmy Zappa, Michelle Moon, Danielle Zappa, and Brian and Jeremy Sollom; and great-grandchildren Bristol and Bryce Holden.
Millie was a kind and loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. She always saw the good in those around her and she will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
A visitation will begin Thursday 1pm followed by a 7:00 P.M. Vigil both at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy. Funeral Mass will be said Friday 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Gilroy. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Los Altos.
