Passed away in Turlock at the age of 75. She was born in St. Joe, Texas and lived in Hollister for 48 years, moving here from Salinas. She and her husband, Sam, were married in 1947 in Tulia, TX. Along with her husband, they pastored for many years at The Apostolic Full Gospel Church of Christ on Santa Ana Rd and she had a great love of gospel music.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Rice of Hollister, her children and their spouses, Dorothy and Jimmy Ray Dunn of Hollister, Mary and Robert Solorio of Turlock and David and Joy Rice of Hollister, her sisters and brother, Coy Cook of St. Joe, TX, Viola Howard of San Antonio, TX and Joyce Williams of Canyon, TX and her grandchildren, Jennifer Staffero, Kim Clayton, Cassie Amaya, Mark Solorio, Kevin Dunn, Rebekah Rice, Sam Rice and Jesse Rice. She is also survived by 9 great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at The Apostolic Full Gospel Church of Christ, 1515 Santa Ana Rd. Hollister. Interment will follow the funeral at the IOOF Cemetery. A reception will follow the funeral services at the church.
