William passed away at the age of 77 at the Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. He and his wife Ruth Jaurigue Larkin of 33 years have been living in Modesto for the past 6 years. Previously a Hollister resident for 50 years, 28 years in which he was on the Hollister Police force retiring as a sergeant. He is also an Army veteran with 6 years of military service from 1946 to 1953. He was a member of the American Legion, Police Association & enjoyed collecting toy cars. He is survived by his wife Ruth Jaurigue Larkin, children Debi Carr & Bryan Larkin of Stockton, Alvia Razo & Regina Espinosa both of Hollister, Dan McDonald of Modesto & Bill McDonald of El Cajon; brothers and sisters Jim Larkin, Ed Larkin, Carman Orbanosky, Louise Ferus & Mary Saford. Bill has 11 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Leo & Augusta Larkin and sister Marie Knight. Friends and Family are invited to join in the visitations held at the Salas Bros. Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive, Modesto, CA on Thursday March 22 from 8 AM to 10 AM. Gravesite Services will follow at 1 PM at the San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella. We will be gathering to honor William’s memory at the Anderson Pea Soup Restaurant in Santa Nella after the burial services.
