My Dad, My Hero
After 11 months of the good fight against lung cancer, Reno was taken up in the Living Lord’s arms while at home with his loving family by his side. Reno was a native of Sanford, Maine, before moving to the Bay Area in 1961. Reno served his country with the Navy during the Korean War. He was an avid outdoor camper and passed his favorite past time on to his 9 children. He had a positive influence on many nephews & nieces, who later followed him out to California. After much dedication & hard work, Reno founded Crystalline Contours in 1971, a successful business where he taught his sons & nephews the skills for machining industrial ceramics. He employed and worked with people who remained life long friends. During his retirement years he enjoyed playing pool, shuffleboard, & bingo with his friends at Quail Hollow as well as spending time with family everyday. We love you, Dad. You were so kind, full of advice, generous and gentle. He was the dearly beloved husband to Judith Tanguay of San Jose, CA, loving father to Donna (Tanguay) Oakley, Dan & Debbie Tanguay, Dianne (Tanguay) Sands, Denise (Tanguay) & Hamilton Brewart, Reno & Kim Tanguay, Alan Tanguay, Jody (Tanguay) & Mark Siderits, Ginger (Tanguay) & Eric Iruegas and
Jeannette Tanguay. He was adored by his 23 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was a cherished son to the late Alfonse & Leoni Tanguay of Sanford, Maine and a wonderful brother to Leonel, Clement, Cecil, Rejeanne, Madaline, Fleurette, Noella, and Jermaine.
