Entered into rest in Hollister. She was born in Hollister and lived here most of her life. She is a member of Sacred Heart Church and worked as a restaurant manager.

She is survived by her children, James Garcia Jr of Hollister and Laura Hessling (George), of Gilroy, her partner in life, Sylvia Hill of Hollister, her mother, Barbara Jean Silva of Hollister, her brothers and sisters, Andy Silva of Simi Valley, Bobby Silva of Chatteroy, WA, Rusty Silva of Rialto, Edith Jean Harriman of King City, Beverly Hernandez Silva of Hollister and Toni Gutierrez of Hollister; her grandchildren, Alexandria Garcia, Amanda Alameda, Manuel Lopez, Samantha Lopez and Nathan Hessling and one great-granddaughter, Maya Alameda. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew “Choppo” Silva.

Visitation will be on Thurs. Oct. 4th from 12:00 noon until 9:00 P.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Rosary will be Thurs evening at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Mass will be on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church. Friends can gather at the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. for a procession to the church. Cremation will follow the Mass with private family inurnment.

Donations are preferred to The Alzheimer’s Day Care Center.
