Antonia Salcido passed away in San Jose, Monday at the age of 74. Born in Madera, California, having moved to Hollister 50 years ago. Along with being a homemaker she had been a nurse’s aid at the local convalescent hospitals for 30 years. Member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Guadalupana Society of Hollister. Antonia was the wife of the late Joe “Blackie” Salcido, who died in 2000. She is survived by her children, Marlene Salcido-Gabriele, Sylvester, Freddie and Robert Salcido all of Hollister. Sister of Maggie Urbano, Irene Rodriquez, Raul Rodriguez and Katie Martinez all of Madera. Also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild and several Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may visit at the Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St., Hollister, Thursday, from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and the Rosary will be offered Thursday evening at 7 P.M.in the mortuary chapel. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home, Friday morning at 9:30 A.M. and proceed to St. Benedict Church for a funeral Mass commencing at 10 A.M. Graveside services will follow at the

Calvary Cemetery. Contributions are preferred to the Guadalupana Society.
