Adam Michael Baxter, a Hollister native, graduate of San Benito
High School and current student at Cabrillo College passed away

Adam Michael Baxter, a Hollister native, graduate of San Benito High School and current student at Cabrillo College passed away suddenly Jan. 2. He was 20 years old.
Adam was recognized as a strong athlete having played baseball, football and wrestled competitively at the state level as well as in the CCS and Monterey Leagues for San Benito High School. He was a wrestling champion of both CCS and Monterey Leagues for his division.
His parents mentioned that Adam had a natural athletic balance which gave him the ability to participate in sports and competitive activities.
“He had a charisma and leadership quality as a peer person for others, even though he would never admit it to himself,” they said. “His sense of humor was a real catalyst among he and his friends. His passion for achievement lead him from wrestling to motorcycles. He was a accomplished stunter with motorcycles.”
Adam was the grandson of Bruce Baxter Sr., Barbara and Jack Hosmer and the late Frances Baxter.
His is survived by his parents Bruce and Kathy Baxter of Hollister; his brother Bryan Baxter; sister Amy Baxter of Hollister; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A service of celebration of Adam’s life will be held on Friday Jan. 7 at noon at San Juan Oaks Golf Club and friends are invited. Visitation for friends to pay their respects will be held from 2:30 to 7pm Friday at the chapel of the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home 870 San Benito St. Donations are preferred to the mortuary to the Adam Baxter Memorial Wrestling Scholarship, Wells Fargo Bank Acct.
