Thomas Forrest Adams, 17, of Tanner, Alabama was killed in a
single-car accident on Jan. 29 as he returned from the Limestone
County basketball championships where he received the Tanner High
School Spirit Award.
Thomas Forrest Adams, 17, of Tanner, Alabama was killed in a single-car accident on Jan. 29 as he returned from the Limestone County basketball championships where he received the Tanner High School Spirit Award.
The son of Richard and Susie Adams, Thomas lived in Hollister until moving to Alabama four years ago. Though reluctant to move at that time, Thomas made many close friends. He was known as “Sunshine” because he was from California and also because he was a happy, optimistic teen. His teachers and couches remember him as a hard-working, ambitious student and athlete. At the time of his death, he was receiving offers for four-year football scholarships.
In addition to his grieving parents, Thomas is survived by brothers John, George, David, Mark and sisters Sarah, Antoinette and Mary. The family requests donations in Thomas’ memory to the Tanner Football Team at Tanner High School, 12060 Sommers Road, Tanner, AL 35671 in lieu of flowers. Funeral services have been held in Tanner.
