Eleanor Kathryn Barulich died Tuesday morning at the Mabie
Skilled Nursing Facility at the age of 89. She was born in San
Francisco and spent most of her adult life in Salinas.
Eleanor Kathryn Barulich died Tuesday morning at the Mabie Skilled Nursing Facility at the age of 89. She was born in San Francisco and spent most of her adult life in Salinas.

Eleanor moved to Hollister after her retirement in 1988. She had worked for nearly 40 years as a secretary with the Federal Land Bank. She was a Member of Sacred Heart Catholic church in Hollister, Sacred Heart Altar Society, Legion of Mary and the Love Ministry. Eleanor also loved to travel.

She is survived by her siblings sister of Ed Barulich of Rodeo and the late Mary Gibson, Matthew, Francis and Albert Barulich; nieces and nephews, Gilbert Gibson of San Francisco, Mark Gibson and Ginger Lobec both of Hollister, Bob Barulich of Belmont, Ruth Ann Barulich of Richmond, Yvonne Merlin of Nevada, and Angela Rampone of San Ramon. She is also survived by grandnieces and grandnephews and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

Friends may visit on Monday, April 25 from 10am to 8pm at the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home with a Rosary to be offered Monday evening at 7pm in the chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 9:30am from the funeral home proceeding to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a Funeral Mass commencing at 10am Graveside services and burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Hollister.

Contributions are preferred to either Sacred Heart School, Fishes and Loaves or St. Benedict Building Fund care of the funeral home.
