Amira Tozy died peacefully at home Monday, Feb. 9, 2004 after a lengthy illness. She was 72.

She was a native of Mosul, Iraq.

Beloved sister of Ameer Tozy of Morgan Hill and his wife, Gail. Dear aunt of Dina Marine of Morgan Hill and her husband Ray, Samia “Sam” Reichel of Hollister and her husband Michael, and Lisa Evans of Hollister and her husband Kenny. Great-aunt of Matthew and Kelly Marine of Morgan Hill, Nicolle and Sara Reichel of Hollister, Tyler and Ryan Evans of Hollister. She is also survived by many relatives in Iraq, Canada, Jordan and Sweden.

Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy.

The funeral Mass will be held Friday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Church, 17400 Peak Avenue in Morgan Hill.

Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 900 First Street in Gilroy.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
