Arthur Krueger died on Saturday at the age of 90 from injuries
sustained in a fall when returning home from work on Friday. He was
well known in Hollister for his friendly and helpful service at San
Benito Tire for 25 years.
Arthur Krueger died on Saturday at the age of 90 from injuries sustained in a fall when returning home from work on Friday. He was well known in Hollister for his friendly and helpful service at San Benito Tire for 25 years.
Art was born and raised in Ohio. After serving as an Army gunnery instructor in Alaska during World War II, Art followed a career as a highly skilled machinist and manufacturing manager in Florida and Southern California before retiring to Hollister in 1979. He is preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Dorothy, and his second wife, of 26 years, Eleanor.
He is survived by Eleanor’s three children, Susan Schaefer of Leesburg, Va., Karen Haladwala, of Santa Cruz, and William Ashton, of Watsonville, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at The United Methodist Church in Hollister. Rev. Ardyss Golden will officiate with music by Jody Larson.
A reception will follow the services at the church social hall.
Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.
Donations are preferred to The American Cancer Society.
