Mary G. Martinez died Sunday at her Hollister home at the age of 90.

She was born in Sonora, Texas and lived in Hollister for 56 years. Prior to retirement she was employed at Colonial Cleaners for many years and was a member of Sacred Heart Church and attended Immaculate Conception in Tres Pinos. She came to Hollister from Colorado and was active in Senior Citizens, Alzheimer’s Day Care Center and Foster Grandparents.

She is survived by her children Nina Ahumada of Hollister and Hector Martinez of Hayward; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Joey Ahumada (female) and her children, Joseph Jacob and Nimara Jacob Ahumada of Hollister, Manuel Ruiz Jr., Nita Ruiz, Nina Wilson, Joseph Ruiz and Tina Canova, all of Azusa, Mark Martinez, Alisa Martinez, Consuela Martinez, Marta Martinez and Felicia Martinez, all of Hayward.

She was preceded in death by two children, Teles Martinez and Delia Ruiz.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Tres Pinos. The Rev. Sean Noone will be the celebrant.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.
