R Norman “Norm” Crips passed away June 18 after a long illness.

He was born in Des Moines, Iowa and after serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked in the rate department of various trucking lines and retired from Crescent Truck Lines in Hayward, Calif. in 1988. He lived in Fremont 25 years prior to moving to Hollister in 1990 where he became involved in several organizations.

He is survived by his wife Jeanette; son Donald Crisp, of Fremont; daughter Carol Theobald and her husband Randy, of Lebanon, Tenn.; son Alan Crisp of Hollister; and granddaughter Tara of Fremont; his sister Mary Greger and her husband Robert, of Oregon.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 26 at 4 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at 2066 Cienega Road, Hollister.
