Elden G. Green entered into rest on Nov. 30, 2004 at his home in
Hollister surrounded by his family. He was born in Los Angeles on
July 11, 1924 and was 80 years old.
Elden G. Green entered into rest on Nov. 30, 2004 at his home in Hollister surrounded by his family. He was born in Los Angeles on July 11, 1924 and was 80 years old.

Elden is survived by his wife of 61 years, Verla Green of Hollister; his brother Doug Green and wife, Donna, of Nampa, Idaho; children Harland (Tom) Green and wife, Candace, Gayle and Sharon Green and Laddie and Chris Green all of San Jose. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Dena Wyland of San Diego and his son Michael Green of San Jose.

Elden was a 32nd degree Mason (Volcano Lodge #56) and served as an Air Force medic in WWII. Prior to retiring to Hollister in 1986, Elden made his home in Sunnyvale and Palo Alto, working for 29 years as a senior manager of the Klystron Tube Division of Varian Associates in Palo Alto. In his retirement, Elden was an avid member of the Ridgemark Golf and Country Club and an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hollister.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 1pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2300 Airline Hwy, Hollister. Rev. Frank Starky will officiate.

Donations are preferred to Hospice of the Central Coast, c/o Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home, 363 7th St. Hollister, CA 95023.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory. Private family interment will be at West Point Cemetery.
