Aromas resident
Aromas resident Kenneth James Bosworth died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003 as the result of an auto accident. He was 19.

Mr. Bosworth was born in Placerville. He attended Fremont School and San Benito, Anzar and San Andreas high schools. He played water polo for San Benito High and also enjoyed playing basketball, surfing and skateboarding as well as playing the guitar and writing poetry and stories.

He taught swimming to people with disabilities and was studying to become a psychologist. His family said he had a sincere interest and strong goals toward helping people, and when teaching swimming he would drop his 6-foot 5-inch frame to his knees so he would not intimidate his students.

He is survived by his parents, James and Kathleen Bosworth of Aromas; his sisters, Kimberly Bosworth of Gilroy, Andrea Roach of Walnut Creek and his twin sister, Jennifer Bosworth of Gilroy; and his grandparents, Ardis Bosworth of Placerville, Cliff and Alma Meyer of Citrus Heights and Don Roach of Ft. Thomas, Ariz.

A celebration of Mr. Bosworth’s life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Private cremation has been held. Private interment will be held Sunday at Placerville Union Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the San Benito High School Boys Water Polo Boosters Club Foundation in care of the funeral home.
