Hollister resident
Hollister resident Irene Barajas died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 after a lengthy illness. She was 75.

Mrs. Barajas was born in Zinapecuaro, Michoacan, Mexico and had lived in Hollister since 1973. She worked for San Benito Foods and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Emiliano and Irene Donato, Amalia and Perfecto Alarcon, Lourdes and Jesse Cordova and Irene Gaucin, all of Hollister, Rosalinda Donato of Los Angeles, Jorge and Lupe Donato of Long Beach and Ramon and Margie Arevalo of Lakewood; 26 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24 at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow with private interment at Calvary Cemetery.
