Long-time Paicines resident
Long-time Paicines resident Genevieve Lorena Eade died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003 at Hazel Hawkins Hospital. She was 86.

Mrs. Eade was born in Jolon and had lived in Paicines for about 76 years, since the days when it was known as Hernandez. She was a homemaker, a member of the Bitterwater Grange and the Erie Election Board. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, gardening and playing cards.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Alma and Jerry Carlsen, Donna and George Palmer, and Diane Hanson, all of Paicines, and Leslee and Mike Curran of Hot Springs, Ark.; her sister, Carla Shields of Dinuba; 19 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Eade, and her brother, Jerry Sans.

Funeral services were held this morning at Whitehurst Grim Funeral Chapel in King City with burial at King City District Cemetery.
