Former Hollister resident
Former Hollister resident Billy A. Cobb died Sunday, March 16, 2003 at his daughter’s home in Carmel Valley. He was 77.
Mr. Cobb was born in Calvin, Okla. and raised in Sanger, Calif. For the last 27 years he had lived in Morro Bay. He moved to Hollister in the 1940s and owned Smith-Cobb Tire Service for many years.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Randy and Linda Cobb of Hollister, David and Debi Cobb of Nebraska, Sondra and Niall Rogers of Florida, Janet and Preston Cole of Carmel Valley and Chris and Ruth Cobb of Atascadero; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy (Smith) Cobb, three brothers and two sisters.
At Mr. Cobb’s request, no services are planned. Cremation and scattering of ashes will take place off the coast of Morro Bay, where he will join his wife.
