An unidentified woman was killed Tuesday evening when her car collided with a semi-truck on Highway 152 near Highway 156, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at 5:37 p.m. about a half-mile west of the Highway 156 intersection.
The woman eastbound in a 1995 Hyundai Accent crossed the yellow line for unknown reasons and struck the left-front end of a 2008 Peterbilt 388 semi-truck. The 38-year-old Salinas man driving the truck was uninjured, according to the CHP.
The agency did not list information for the woman’s identity or city of residence. The agency reported it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role.
The CHP diverted traffic for 75 minutes.
