Long-time Hollister resident.
Norman Griffin died Saturday, April 19, 2003. He was 54.
Mr. Griffin was born in Santa Ana and had lived in Helendale for seven years before moving to Hollister in 1960. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, DaNita Griffin of Hollister; his children, Melodie and Janeene Griffin, both of Hollister, and Neil and Paul Griffin, both of Macon, Ga.; his brothers, Allan Griffin of Hollister, Ben Griffin of Gilroy and William Griffin of Ogden, Utah; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reese Albert and Zena (Graser) Griffin.
Visitation will begin Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1670 Cienega Road in Hollister. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at a later date in Archer, Idaho.
Arrangements are under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy.
Memorials are preferred to the Stanford University Medical Center Liver Transplant Center.
