Night Out event the same night from 5 p.m. to dark.
Along with the Seventh Annual National Night Out in Hollister on Tuesday, Aug. 5, San Juan Bautista will hold its first National Night Out event the same night from 5 p.m. to dark.
The community-oriented event stresses crime and drug prevention and is designed to strengthen the partnership between police and the community.
San Juan’s event will be on the State Park Plaza Lawn, in front of the Mission San Juan Bautista. The Hollister celebration will be from 5 to 9 p.m. at the corner of Fourth and San Benito streets.
