Sherman Moore died in Hollister on Friday, Oct. 17, after a brief illness. He was 79.

He was a native of Southwest City, Mo.  

He worked for many years for the Ferry Morse Seed Company and more recently for the Almaden Winyards.

He is survived by his wife Jennie Moore of Hollister, and daughters Janice Moore and Carol Flores, both of Hollister. He is the grandfather of Ray Flores Jr., Tammi Ray, Chantele Flores and Michelle Flores, all of Hollister. Great-grandfather of Daniel Ray and Kyleigh Ray, both of Hollister, brother of Hershel Moore of Kansas, Zella Jones of Kansas, Joycle Rider of Oklahoma and Keith Moore of Missouri. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held under direction of Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home in Hollister. Donations may be made to a favorite charity.
