Kolin Kosmicki’s article (A story of survival Free Lance, Aug.
20) should be mandatory reading for every San Benito County
resident. It’s shocking that a cold-blooded crime such as this
could be committed on one of our young adults in his very own home.
I have talked with people who actually cried while reading that
article.
Kolin Kosmicki’s article (A story of survival Free Lance, Aug. 20) should be mandatory reading for every San Benito County resident. It’s shocking that a cold-blooded crime such as this could be committed on one of our young adults in his very own home. I have talked with people who actually cried while reading that article.

Like myself each of them were “thunderstruck” when in the article District Attorney John Sarsfield compared this brutal attack and attempted murder off this innocent young man to the poisoning of his dogs.

He then took the opportunity to lobby the Board of Supervisors for additional personnel. He even got a chance to blame the victim witness staff for failing to do a job that according to law was the prosecuting attorney’s responsibility. These actions and responses are not those of a compassionate, caring human being.

Again, I say we need to keep this in perspective. What happened to Sarsfield’s dogs and what actually happened and is happening to Sinuhue Zuniga and his mom doesn’t even compare.

This community needs to step up and do something for this family. Personally, I don’t know what we do. Perhaps some sort of fund could be started to assist Sinuhue and his mom.

Whatever it is, count me in.
