Hollister – The 13-year-old girl severely injured in a car accident last week that killed three other teens was transferred to a different hospital over the weekend and is coherent, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The teen was transferred to the Kaiser Permanente San Jose/Santa Teresa Medical Center from Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, said Officer Brad Voyles.

The girl, who is not being named because she is a juvenile, was thrown through the windshield of the car that exploded into flames and suffered a fractured vertebrae, facial lacerations, a collapsed lung and burns to one side of her body, according to the CHP.

Doctors had her in a drug-induced coma for most of last week, according to the CHP.
