At the age of 88, Adeline Murphy died Tuesday, July 29, in Hollister.
Murphy moved to Hollister in the 1980s. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Native Daughters of San Juan, Catholic Ladies Aid of Hollister and the Love Ministry of Hollister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Peter Murphy, daughter Maureen Murphy and three sisters. She is survived by children Patricia Murphy of Hollister, Thomas Murphy of Hollister, Edward and Yvonne Murphy of Hollister and Colleen Valdez of Reno; grandchildren Christopher Valdez of Fairfield, Calif., Brianna Valdez of Reno and Sean Murphy of San Juan Bautista.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Black-Cooper-Sander Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, Aug. 2, at 12:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow at San Juan District Cemetery.
