Albert A. Angelino, 84, died in San Jose on Monday, July 28.

Angelino moved to Gilroy in 1927. He was a farmer in Gilroy with his brothers for many years and later worked in construction. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Legion of Mary, and St. Mary Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Angelino; and brothers Louis Angelino and Henry Angelino. He is survived by children Deborah Ann and husband William Place of Hollister and John Angelino Sr. of Gilroy; in-laws Lupe, Carmen, Vincent, and Martha Sanchez, of Gilroy; his brother and wife, Alfred R. and Bessie Angelino of Gilroy; sisters Inez Ferranti of San Martin, Natalie Terry of Mariposa, Calif.; grandchildren Nichole Soto and husband Edward Jr. of Los Banos, Paul Michael Marchese of Florida, Jeffrey Scott Marchese, United States Air Force, Nevada, Annemarie DeLeon of Gilroy, John and Cynthia Angelino Jr. of Gilroy, Angelina Angelino Kennedy and husband Brandon of Los Banos, and Darlene Sanchez Angelino and Marty of Gilroy; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A vigil service will be held Sunday, Aug. 3, at 5 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Gilroy. Family and friends will gather at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy on Monday at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Mary’s Church for a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Gilroy.

The family would appreciate donations to the Diabetes Society in his memory.
