Burial will be at Gavilan Hills Cemetery, Friday, April 10, 2015, at 3:00 P.M. Any remembrances would be appreciated to the Leukemia Foundation, American Heart Association or blood bank in his name.
 On December 3, 2014, Albert Batres passed away in Manteca, CA. Albert made his home in Manteca for 30 years.
 Albert was a carpet layer and was known as “Carpet Al”.
 He was born in Colorado on April 7, 1940 and was the seventh son of Joe and Mary Batres.
 Albert grew up in Gilroy and attended school there. He graduated from Gilroy High in 1958.
 Albert leaves behind a daughter, Tamara Bonfante, four brothers and three sisters and many nieces and nephews.
