Alberto Franco Giacomo Giuseppe Volpatti preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years Helen M. Volpatti.

Albert was a very beloved father and grandfather whose greatest happiness was spending time with his family, making people laugh and enjoying a big meal, especially his favorite dish polenta.

Albert graduated from Salinas High in 1944 where he was a star football player. After graduation, he enlisted in the Navy, serving his country during WWII.

In 1949 Albert started a 34 year career in banking with Wells Fargo. After retiring in 1982, he began teaching a ROP class in financial business helping many young people establish careers in the banking industry. He continued to serve his community by volunteering at Kaiser Permanente of Gilroy for almost 15 years.

Albert was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. He enjoyed watching and participating in bowling, golf and bocce ball.

He will be deeply missed by family, friends and his loyal dog Jackie.

A visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 13 from 1:00-8:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be said 9:30 A.M. Saturday, Feb. 14 at St. Mary Catholic Church.
