Alicia Flores passed away peacefully of natural causes at her home in Hollister on October 6, 2011, she was 99. She died surrounded by her family.

Alicia was born at 4:00 P.M. on July 18, 1912, in Morteritos, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She was the youngest child of Sahara Barrera de Guerra and Dionicio Saldaña. She was raised in Mier, Tamaulipas, and later lived in Los Angeles, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

On December 16, 1931, she married the love of her life Moises Flores. In early 1967, she moved to San Benito County so that she could be closer to her children.

Alicia joins her daughter Colema Postigo, her husband Moises, daughter-in-law Pat Flores and son-in-law Alfredo Rodriguez who precede her in death.

She is survived by her sons Jose Luis Flores and Servando Flores, daughter-in-law Rosaena Flores and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at the Black-Cooper-Sander Funeral Home (363 7th Street in Hollister, CA).
