2004, at Saint Louise Regional Hospital.
Hollister resident Alta A. Cobstill, 86, died Monday, March 30, 2004, at Saint Louise Regional Hospital.

Alta was born in Marshall, Ark., in 1943. She attended Arkansas and Oklahoma schools. She was an admired quilter. Her favorite thing was being with her family. She enjoyed traveling with her family anytime and anywhere, said her children. She also enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.

She was a homemaker for more than 61 years.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Winkle (Tom), of Columbus, Mont., Carolyn Gularte (Dick), of Hollister, Dolores “Dee” Bryan (Jim), of Los Banos; son Buddy Cobstill (Maureen), of Los Banos; sisters Mary Ray Stephenson (Wilbur), of Oklahoma, Georgia Edmonds, of Texas, and LaVern Silvas (Don), of Lake Havasue; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Cobstill, who passed away April 20, 1999, and her sister Ann Garrett.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 10:45 only at Grunnagle-Ament- Nelson Funeral Home. Family and friends will leave the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. to proceed to the IOOF Cemetery for graveside services at 11 a.m.
