Alys L. Mason of Hollister died Tuesday at the William and Inez Mabie Skilled Nursing Facility. She was 92.
A native of Waltham, Ma., Mrs. Mason moved to Hollister three years ago to be with her son and his family. She was a member of the First Parish Universalist Unitarian Church in Waltham and attended Burdette College in Boston.
Mrs. Mason is survived by her son and daughter-in-law John and Joan Mason of Hollister; sister-in-law Audrey Wellington of Marlborough, Ma.; grandchildren Hilary Mason of Chelmsford, Ma., Holly Mason of Boston, Grant, Jack and Abigail Mason, all of Hollister.
She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Mason Jr., who died in 1986 and her brother Clinton Wellington.
Arrangements have been made for cremation through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory. A private family burial will be held at Mt. Feake Cemetery in Waltham, Ma.
